Payroll is a department within Human Resources, and is responsible for payroll payments to all Wayne State University employees. In addition, Payroll is responsible for: 

• Process all income tax withholdings and subsequent payments to Federal, State & City taxing authorities
• Void/manual check processing
• Salary Advances
• Issue of W-2 forms
• Issue of 1042S forms for Non-Resident Aliens
• Direct Deposit of payroll checks
• Court ordered deductions
• Retroactive reallocation of labor distribution for General and Auxiliary Fund
